MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the RESOURCE Family Ministry is to encourage, equip and strengthen Christ-oriented youth, singles, marriages and families through Christian ministries and Godly counseling.

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. (Psalm 127:1)

THE PURPOSE OF RESOURCE FAMILY MINISTRY

I. FAMILY MINISTRY HELPS FAMILIES FACE CHALLENGES

Families face great challenges today and family ministries can help.
The Divine ideals for marriage and family living is not evident in our time today. Great crises face many families today. (God’s design for the family structure is under attack.)
 
II. FAMILY MINISTRY PROVIDES NURTURE AND INSTRUCTION

One of the challenges we are facing is to nurture the people with biblical concepts of marriage, parenting and family living and to teach effective problem-solving techniques and conflict resolution skills – in other words prevention and enrichment.  (Providing tools and resources families can use).  RESOURCE Family ministry is pro-active in recognizing the forces at work before family conflicts become serious and working to promote healthy family relationships while they are still manageable.
 
III.   FAMILY MINISTRY IS EVIDENCE OF A CARING CHURCH

The Body of Christ that cares about its members, will touch individuals where they live and help them to find more fulfilled lives as youth, singles or married couples, as parents or children, RESOURCE is a ministry that will have influence in the community -- others will take notice and be drawn to it. A focus on family life can assist in revitalizing God’s People, the community and helping it to thrive and grow.
